The old monk Joseph said nothing about the future of the USA except that US Forces will retreat from their basis worldwide. That will influence many conflicts and re-creations of many borders.

Video in which Members of La Línea Beat and Dismember Joaquin Gallegos
Tuesday, May 17, 2011

A member of Borderland Beat had posted a link of a video on YouTube on the BB Forums that was eventually deleted by YouTube for its violent content. BDN was able to pull it from YouTube before it could be deleted and we managed to pull it from BDN.

The video is recorded by members of the criminal group known as La Línea and is directed at the members of El Chapo Guzman. Please be warned that the content is extremely graphic with violence.

In the recording lasting approximately five minutes there is a message in the beginning, “El Diego continues at 100 with La Linea. This is what is going to happen to the betrayals that do not believe and who support El Chapo” it says.

A man is inside a room wearing only underwear with his hands and feet tied, and blindfolded. Soon after two men begin to savagely beat him with a bat, the scene is brutally violent, the victim rolls in pain and agony, because he can’t do anything to defend himself.

The restrained man stops moving, apparently killed from the blows from the bat. Then the victim appears nude and they start to dismember him.

The video ends with a message that says, “Ministerial police who support Chaputo,” and numerous photographs of men are displayed. “For those who do not believe here is the proof Joaquin Gallegos, executed May 13, 2011 and keep supporting El Chaputo.”

What’s ‘Bridesmaids’ About? And How Funny Is It?

What’s ‘Bridesmaids’ About? And How Funny Is It?

By The Editors at Moviefone

With all the buzz surrounding this weekend’s female-lead comedy ‘Bridesmaids,’ it’s probably easy to predict just what kind of comedy audiences are in store for. After all, it’s produced by ‘Knocked Up’ and ‘Superbad’ impresario Judd Apatow and directed by ‘Freaks and Geeks’ creator Paul Feig. But what exactly is ‘Bridesmaids’ about — and, after all the speculation, is ‘Bridesmaids’ funny?

What Is ‘Bridemaids’ About?
‘Bridesmaids’ is about Annie Walker (Kristen Wiig) a down-on-her-luck Milwaukee woman with bills piling up, a dead-end job and a lousy, asshole hook-up buddy (Jon Hamm). The one person she seems to enjoy is her best friend, Lillian (Maya Rudolph). So when Lillian gets engaged, she asks Annie to be her maid of honor.

Unfortunately, as any woman who’s ever been in a wedding can tell you, being a maid of honor sucks. There’s so much planning, getting to know the other bridesmaids, spending money on dresses you’ll never wear again and trips you don’t need. It’s enough to drive a sane person crazy, but Annie is already close to being off the deep end.

Think of her as the female equivalent of Apatow’s loveable slackers. She’s Seth Rogen in ‘Knocked Up’ and Steve Carell in ‘The 40-Year-Old Virgin.’ She’s a woman-child and ‘Bridesmaids’ is the hilarious tale of how she finally grows up.
Is ‘Bridesmaids’ Funny?
Though it looks like an ensemble comedy, ‘Bridesmaids’ actually only has a few scenes with all of the women in the advertisements, which is disappointing considering when they’re all together the dynamic creates some of the funniest scenes in the movie.

Melissa McCarthy (‘Gilmore Girls’) steals the show as the rough-around-the-edges Meghan, but each of the characters has her own enjoyable weirdness. Even non-comedian Rose Byrne (who is actually in way more of the film than any of the comedic actresses except Wiig) has her endearingly funny moments. But for a comedy, her role is way bigger than the ads let on.

The best scene with all the bridesmaids takes place on the plane ride to Las Vegas. In it, each of their quirky, weird personalities gets to shine on its own, and Kristen Wiig does what she does best, only not in an annoying way. She actually shows why ‘Saturday Night Live’ audiences first fell in love her in a few shameless, balls-out hilarious scenes. (Not including the one on the airplane, Wiig loses her mind in a scene during Lillian’s bridal shower, too.)

A sequel could be made solely about what happens between Ellie Kemper’s Becca and Wendi McLendon-Covey’s Rita.

If the whole movie was just like the scene on the airplane, ‘Bridesmaids’ would have been perfect. But instead, it’s only near perfect.

‘Bridesmaids’ is funny and it’s way above the usual romantic comedy fare. It’s about a wayward slacker finding her way and the weirdo friends she acquires along the way. It’s not just for chicks and it’s not “a chick-flick for dudes” either.

It’s a comedy about needing to grow up.

Turkey president calls for more aid for world’s 48 poorest nations

Turkey president calls for more aid for world’s 48 poorest nations
May 9, 2011, 13:56 GMT

Istanbul – Turkey President Abdullah Gul on Monday called for increased international aid for the 48 poorest countries in the world.

Without this it would be difficult to ensure prosperity and a lasting peace for the 900 million people in these countries, Gul said at the opening in Istanbul of the fourth UN Conference on Least- Developed Countries (LDCs).

UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon said emerging economies such as Brazil, China and India, had a role to play in supporting development in the LDCs.

In an interview to UN Radio on Sunday, Ban said that while developed countries also faced the challenges of rising food prices and climate change, the LDCs didn’t have the capacity and resources to address these global problems.

Gul called for greater efforts to promote agriculture, education and to create conditions for investment. Strengthening the rights of women was a key to development, he said.

In 1971, there were 25 countries in the group of least-developed countries. Today there are 45. ‘The gulf between these countries and the rest of the world is widening,’ said Gul. ‘To go on like this is not an option.’

More than 50 heads of state and 100 ministers were expected to attend the meeting, including representatives from countries that don’t belong to the group of least-developed nations.
